How did we take impressions in the past?
In the past, dental Impressions were taken by placing a specific material in a dental impression tray which is designed to fit over your teeth.
As a result, the impression material was of liquid or semi-solid nature when first mixed and placed onto the dental tray. After a few minutes the material sets and becomes an elastic solid leaving an imprint of person’s teeth and soft tissue of the mouth.
Naturally, the process is extremely messy and distasteful leaving our patients to dislike the entire process.
How does the itero scanner work?
The iTero scanner takes highly accurate 3D digital impressions quickly and comfortably.
First of all, our team will use a wand to scan your teeth and gums. iTero Element is engineered to capture 6,000 frames per second. The HD images instantly appear on the screen and we receive a 3D rendering of your dental anatomy. As a result our Doctors then use this scan to plan your dental treatment and create customized Invisalign® aligners, appliances, retainers and much more!

We want to make sure you have a good idea of your orthodontic condition is and what your treatment options. In an orthodontic consultation, you will get an opportunity to tour the office, meet the doctor and the team. The doctor will look at your mouth and assess the complexity of your treatment and review what treatment options are available to you. Together, we will discuss any concerns you may have with your orthodontic treatment.
